Responding to crises through systemic change

When the pandemic first become a crisis in the United States, many colleagues, friends and I saw the immediate need to call for systemic responses to this crisis. Rather than replicate the harmful oppressions and trauma of racial, economic, gender, and other injustices in how we respond, we encouraged planners, foundations, and other resource holders to create more sustaining and equitable responses.
